I think what you posted was actually very logical. However, what about this? what if you added a little information? I ain't suggesting your information is not good, but suppose you added something that makes people want more? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little plain. You ought to look at Yahoo's front page and see how they create article titles to get viewers to open the links. You might add a video or a pic or two to get people excited about what you've written. Just my opinion, it could make your blog a little livelier.
